Odds, Predictions and Who to look out for
Men’s 100m & Women’s 100m – Day 2 & 3
The men’s 100m final dominates the second day and the big question on everyone’s lips is who will take over Usain Bolt’s crown?
Gatling stepped in and took gold in 2017 but the 37-year-old’s teammate, Christian Coleman, looks like this year’s promising bet. William Hill looks like your best option to back Coleman for 100m gold with odds of 1,73 available.
Dina Asher-Smith looks like one of the strongest contenders to take gold in the women’s 100m and you can back her to win with odds of 3.50 at Bet365.
Men’s 200m & 800m – Day 4
One day, two world records? It might just happen with new American sensation Noah Lyles in the 200m and young Nijel Amos from Botswana in the 800m, both athletes are looking to stamp their mark on the global stage.
You can back both to win at Bet365 with Lyles at 1.14 and Amos at 2.4.
Heptathlon & Men’s 20km Walk – Days 7 & 8
UK hopeful Katarina Johnson-Thompson takes centre stage at Doha as she looks to battle it out with rival Nafissatou Thiam in the Heptathlon. You can back KJT to take heptathlon gold at 3.75 with Bet365.
Elsewhere, Tom Bosworth has a point to prove after being disqualified in 2017 but he’ll need to step up his game to beat the current champion, Eider Arevalo. Back Bosworth at odds of 19.0 to win his 20km walking race with Bet 365.
4x100m Relays & Women’s 1500m – Day 9
The 4x100m relays dominate the ninth day and Team GB will be disappointed if they don’t get on the podium twice here. The men will be looking to cause another upset after their dramatic gold in 2017 and the women will be looking to better the silver they won in London as well.
Laura Muir is coming into the women’s 1500m as a strong contender and you can back Muir to win at 8.00 with Bet365.
4x400m Relays – Day 10
The 4×400 relay has always been a standout event and the British women’s team has managed to win a medal in every one of the last seven world championships, whilst the men have won bronze medals at the last three.
Both have a chance of improving and maybe one, even both teams, can challenge for the gold this year in Doha.
