How we rate casinos on SmartphoneGambler
The lists on this site are built from a fixed set of casinos, ordered by a criterion that changes from page to page. This page says who is on the list, what decides the order and how we are paid.
Who can be on a list
A casino is listed only if it holds a licence from the UK Gambling Commission, shows a welcome offer we could read on its own site, and has an arrangement with us that pays a commission when a reader signs up through our buttons. That is why the pool is small — 20 casinos at the moment — and why many UK sites you know are not in it. Being absent is not a verdict on a casino; it means we have no arrangement and no offer to quote.
What sets the order
Every list has one criterion, named in its heading and in the tag above it: a payment method, a small first deposit, no wagering, a live dealer, a bingo licence. Casinos that meet it come first; when the page covers a topic without such a criterion, the whole pool is used. Inside a list the order follows the strength of the welcome offer we read, how widely the casino is known to UK review sites, and — openly — how our arrangement with it works out. We do not claim the order is independent of payment; we claim it is not for sale to a casino outside the pool.
What the score means
The score from 7.3 to 9.7 is the casino’s place on that one page, translated to a ten-point scale. It is not a laboratory test result and it is not comparable between pages: the same casino can sit first on one list and fifth on another.
The “Worth knowing” line
Each card carries one drawback we could verify: wagering on the welcome spins, a higher minimum deposit, no live tables, a payment list that is not public before sign-up. It is chosen from the card’s own data, not written to balance the praise.
What we do not check
We do not play every game, time withdrawals or audit each operator’s software. Before you deposit, read the operator’s terms; they are the final word on any offer. Offers on our lists were last re-read on 11 October 2026.
How we are paid
When you register at a casino through one of our buttons, the casino may pay us a commission. It does not change what you pay or the offer you get. If you would rather not use the buttons, each casino’s name is in the list and you can go to it directly.
