ecoPayz (Payz) Casinos and Betting Sites

Updated 11 October 2026 · 18+ only

ecoPayz is an e-wallet: you fund the account once, then send money to gambling sites without typing card details into each cashier. The service was renamed Payz in 2023, and many cashiers still show the old ecoPayz name.

What is ecoPayz?

An e-wallet sits between your bank and the betting site. You top up the wallet from your bank or card, and the site only ever sees the wallet. ecoPayz began life as ecoCard and was rebranded to ecoPayz; in May 2023 the company announced a further rename to Payz, keeping existing accounts and log-ins unchanged. It is regulated in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority as an authorised electronic money institution.

How you use it

  1. Open and verify a wallet account (identity checks are normal for e-money providers).
  2. Add funds from your bank or card.
  3. At the betting site, pick ecoPayz or Payz in the cashier and confirm the payment in the wallet.
  4. Withdrawals go back to the wallet, then to your bank, subject to the site's pending period and your wallet's own limits.

Worth knowing before you choose it

  • Bonus eligibility. Many welcome offers exclude deposits made with e-wallets. Read the bonus terms before you deposit, not after.
  • Fees and limits. Top-ups, currency conversion and cash-out can carry fees set by the wallet provider. Check its current fee table.
  • Availability. Not every site lists it any more; the cashier is the only reliable answer.
  • Same name on both sides. The name on the wallet should match the name on your betting account, or withdrawals can stall.

Questions people ask

Is ecoPayz the same as Payz?

Yes. It is the same wallet service under a new name, and cashiers may show either name.

Can I use ecoPayz to claim a welcome bonus?

Sometimes, but e-wallet deposits are often excluded. The bonus terms at the site you are using are the only source that counts.

Do I need a bank account?

You need a way to fund the wallet, usually a bank account or card, so yes in practice.
