We’re back to Premier League action after the international break, and what an eventful few weeks it’s been in England. In one of the craziest transfer windows of all time, we saw arguably the greatest player of all time return to the EPL. That’s right, Cristiano Ronaldo completed a transfer from Juventus to Manchester United.

Meanwhile, on the international stage, the Three Lions were recording back-to-back 4-0 wins against Hungary and Andorra. But all of this is already yesterday’s news. So let’s look forward to this weekend’s EPL action and find out just where the betting value lies ahead of matchday four.

Spurs are the only side with an intact unbeaten record going into the fourth weekend of the 2024/22 Premier League. They will surely be expecting to maintain that form ahead of their trip to Crystal Palace for the early kick-off on Saturday. Later in the day, a somewhat surprising bottom-of-the-table clash takes place between their arch-rivals Arsenal and the visitors Norwich.

The tie of the weekend looks to be Manchester City’s trip to Leicester, but Sunday’s match between Aston Villa and Chelsea at Stamford Bridge could be one to keep an eye on. But none of these games feature among our Premier League betting tips for matchday four.

Odds and Predictions

This weekend is all about one man. A home game for Manchester United seems like the perfect opportunity to introduce their marquee signing to the fans. Barring any COVID-related mishaps, he seems sure to play. And if he does, there is absolutely no way that Cristiano Ronaldo is going to allow anyone or anything other than himself to steal the show.

His odds to score first and any time during the game seem prohibitively short. But Newcastle are terrible defensively, having already shipped eight in their first three fixtures. United have shown glimpses of brilliance, namely their 5-1 drubbing of Leeds on the opening weekend. If anyone can rekindle that form, it’s CR7.

Premier League matches so far this season are already featuring an average of almost three goals per game (2.83). Two of Newcastle’s three results have already produced at least four goals. We’re expecting to see another goalfest here and the best odds of 2.20 (10bet) on Over 3.5 goals look extremely tempting.

Verdict: Total Goal 3.5 Goals – Over @ 2.20 (10bet)

Newly promoted Brentford have kicked off their debut Premier League campaign in style. Confounding their critics, they beat Arsenal on the opening day and have thus far remained unbeaten in their opening three fixtures.

However, this weekend’s opponents Brighton are not exactly looking terrible. Albion have notched two wins and a defeat so far this term. Even though they’ve enjoyed a perfectly respectable start to the EPL season, their odds this weekend are insultingly large. And for reasons of value, that’s why they’re our second Premier League betting tip of the gameweek four.

Widely available to back at 2.80, this is the biggest price they’ve been all season. That’s despite having played established sides like Everton at home and Burnley away. Whilst it’s clearly not going to be an easy tie against the Bees, Albion seem to be overpriced. This just screams of value.

Verdict: Brighton to win @ 2.80 (William Hill)
