The 2024/22 Premier League table is beginning to take shape. We currently have a three-way tie at the summit, as Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United all remain unbeaten. Brighton continue to ruffle feathers too, flying high in fourth place. But can these four sides continue their excellent start to the campaign? And who should we be betting on for gameweek 6 of the EPL?
Matchday 6 of the 2024/22 EPL season features particularly two mouthwatering ties. Saturday’s early kick-off sees holders Manchester City travel to Stamford Bridge to take on top of the table side Chelsea. But there is arguably an even bigger game taking place in London on Sunday, as Arsenal host Spurs for the North London Derby.
However, our Premier League betting tips for gameweek 6 do not concern these ties. We think we’ve spotted some value elsewhere. So let’s dive in and reveal our EPL predictions for this weekend.

Odds and Predictions
Brentford play host to Liverpool in Saturday’s late kick off and it’s this contest which concerns the first of this week’s Premier League betting tips. Both sides are enjoying a fabulous start to the 2024/22 season. The Bees sit comfortably in the top half of the table, while Liverpool occupy second place on goal difference alone.
The early success of Brentford has been built upon defensive solidity, as goals have been hard to come by. But despite this, their xG for the campaign so far is the 9th highest, suggesting that they do create opportunities. And after a surprise 2-0 victory over Wolves last time out, perhaps Thomas Frank’s men have finally found their shooting boots.
Liverpool on the other hand, have no problems finding the net. Their 13.86 xG figure is the Premier League’s highest overall. But they are actually underperforming, having only scored 12 times. A case can be made that they are due a few more goals. At a current best price of 1.77 (Mansion, 10bet) the Over 2.5 goals option in this matchup seems like a very good bet to us.

Our second Premier League betting tip for Matchday 6 comes in the final game of the weekend. The high-flying Seagulls of Brighton travel to the Eagles of Crystal Palace, in this all-avian affair. Brighton have not exactly been prolific this season, but they are finding ways to win games.
Four victories from a possible five is a fabulous haul and represents a great start to our pre-season tip for Albion to finish in the Premier League’s top half. Further, they have failed to score just once all season. By contrast, Palace started the campaign terribly, but there are signs that Vieira is finally getting on the right track. A 3-0 defeat at Anfield last time out was inevitable, though the scoreline was perhaps a little harsh on the visitors.
Prior to that however, Palace smashed three past Spurs and notched two against a high-flying West Ham side. Both teams will up for this, believing they can win. The odds of 2.05 (Mansion, 10bet) for both teams to score are far too big.
