With the conclusion of the two opening weeks, the series now returns to its standard structure with one elimination each week until the grand finale on March 10. We take a look at some of the betting favourites and current trends predicted by the betting markets.
Current Favourites
Even before the twelfth series launched on January 5, Perri Kiely was being backed as low as 8/11 with William Hill to win this year’s contests. The bookies have not changed their mind after two weeks of action: Kiely is still the frontrunner at 8/11, with experts highlighting his previous dancing experience as the main reason.
However, a few others contestants have improved in the bookmakers’ estimations following the opening weeks.
Before the series started, Libby Clegg was traded as highly as 17/1 at 888 Sports, but she has now been slashed to a modest 6/1 at Betfair. In Week 2, Clegg, and her dancing partner Mark Hanretty, scored an impressive 28 points for their performance to Jackie Wilson’s “Reet Petite”. The 28 points was the best score across the opening weeks and has made the paralympic sprinter an early outsider for this year’s contest.

Millarini already faced elimination in Week 2, but managed to survive with a fine performance in the skate-off. History tells us that contestants involved in the early skate-offs struggle to last long, which makes Millarino the favourite to get the boot in Week 3 (11/10 at William Hill).Former professional footballer Kevin Kilbane is next in line (9/4 at William Hill) after a 18.5 points performance in Week 2, only narrowly escaping the dreaded skate-off by 0.5 points.
Kilbane, who now makes his name as a football analyst on TV, will need a much better performance in Week 3, where the weekly theme turns to musicals.

Lucrezia Millarini and her partner were the second couple to be sent home from Dancing on Ice 2020.
This comes after the pair found themselves in the skate-off for the second week on the trot. This time they weren’t so lucky and Christopher sent them home by opting to save Kevin Kilbane, who was described as “more confident”. They will need to build on this over the next couple of days if they want to remain as or he may suffer the same fate as Lucrezia. As it stands though, Kevin is favourite to go next week with 5/6 odds.
Caprice With a New Partner
However, there is a reason for others to be concerned too. This is because news broke today that things are getting frosty behind the scenes as one of the contestants, Caprice Bourret, was branded a ‘lazy diva’ after splitting up with her professional dance partner, Hamish Gaman. This follows the two not performing in last week show.
She has now been matched up with a new teacher, Oscar Peter, but having to switch 3 weeks in is not going do their synergy any favours and they are now going to have a large disadvantage to the others who have been working together longer.
However, if the rumours are true and the relationship with Gaman was as cold as it has been said, it could have done her a favour. We will have to wait and see, but odds of 8/1 are being offered on her going home next. The bookies also see early exits for Ben Halin with 4/1 and Radzi Chinyanganya 7/1, both of these had just 0.5 between them on the judges’ scorecards last week though so it could be very close.
Who’s the Favourite so far?
On the other end of the spectrum, Perri Kiely and Vanessa Bauer, Lisa George and Tom Naylor, and Libby Clegg and Mark Hanretty are all looking like the ones to watch and lead the pack to the end of lasts weeks show.
These will almost definitely stay on for another week and could be a good bet if you are looking for an early winner. Currently, Kiely is the favourite to win with odds of 2/5 and Clegg has 15/2. Clegg though is being marginally led in terms of odds by Ian Watkins who finished 4th last week. He is currently the second favourite to win with 9/2 odds.

Week 4 saw a the surprising elimination of Radzi Chinyanganya, who had been priced at 6/1 to leave the show with William Hill. Radzi, and his dancing partner Jess Hatfield, were eliminated by the judges as they voted to save Caprice and Oscar.
As the bookies had predicted, it was actually Kevin Kilbane and his partner Brianne Delcourt who received the lowest scores from the judges, but the public vote saved the popular ex-footballer. Priced at 8/15 with William Hill to leave the show this week, the odds are stacked against Kilbane once again, but can the public vote save him from elimination?
Current Favourites Dancing On Ice 2020
Perri Kiely opened this year’s Dancing On Ice as the clear favourite to win the competition, and she remains so going into Week 5. Kiely and dancing partner Vanessa Bauer have impressed across the opening weeks, receiving the most points of any contestants for all their performances. Kiely has dropped to 3/10 with William Hill to win Dancing On Ice 2020, and right now it looks unlikely that anyone can stop him.
Steps singer Ian Watkins remains the most likely outsider, performing with Matt Evers as the first ever same-sex couple on Dancing On Ice. They have done well until now with a particularly strong Week 4 performance to ‘I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’ by Scissor Sisters, with William Hill currently pricing them at 5/1 to win the contest.

Maura Higgins is an interesting outside bet to leave the show this week. The Love Island-finalist and her dancing partner Alexander Demetriou started well in the opening week, but fell down the leaderboard in Week 3 and 4. Last week, they only narrowly escaped the Save Me skates, after being tied on points with Caprice and Oscar. You can pocket a delicate 12/1 price at William Hill if Higgins is eliminated this week.

What Happened in Week 6
Dancing on Ice Week 6 saw the surprising elimination of Ian H. Watkins and professional dancing partner, Matt Evers. Watkins was predicted as one of the early favourites for the overall win, but the couple already struggled in Week 5 where they also competed in the skate-off.
In the Week 6 skate-off they were up against Ben Hanlin and Carlotta Edwards, the bookies’ favourites to leave the show. Yet all the judges voted to save Hanlin and Edwards, which meant Watkins had to leave the show despite the bookmakers’ confidence in him.
Five couples have now been eliminated, while Caprice and Oscar withdrew from the show on February 2nd. With the original field now cut in half, we are interting the endgame in this year’s Dancing on Ice. In Week 7, the theme turns to the dreaded and technically challenging Props Week, while Dean is back as the Head Judge.

Perri Kiely is still the undisputed favourite to win this year’s Dancing on Ice, a point that is well reflected in William Hill’s 50/1 price on him to be eliminated from the show this week. Joe Shaw is the other contestant who is extremely unlikely to leave the show anytime soon with William Hill pricing a Week 7 elimination at 28/1.
As Watkins’ elimination in Week 6 shows, Dancing on Ice is ultimately decided on the ice – the contest can be very unpredictable. Yet in all likelihood, the next elimination will stand between Ben Hanlin, Maura Higgins, Lisa George and Libby Clegg. Perri Kiely and Joe Shaw have simply been a class above the field until now, and they both enter Week 7 with Top 3 performances in the two previous weeks.
Among the remaining field, Ben Hanlin and his professional dancing partner, Carlotta Edwards, are the clear favourites to leave the show this week. Currently priced at 11/10 with William Hill, a Week 7 elimination for Hanlin and Edwards is an enticing bet. The judges haven’t been particularly harsh on the couple, but the public vote worked against them in Week 6. And on Dancing on Ice, that tends to repeat itself.
Considering the strength of the remaining field, William Hill’s 11/10 on Ben and Carlotta to be eliminated in Week 7 is the best available bet.

The Dancing on Ice 2019 Final is upon us and we only have three contestants left to battle it out. Perri Kiely, Libby Clegg and Joe Swash are all in with a chance of being crowned champion of the ice on Sunday night, but which of these celebrities is being backed by the bookies?
Perri has been a strong favourite for several weeks now, Libby Clegg has been surpassing all expectations and the popularity of Joe Swash should never be dismissed in a competition like this.

The ever-popular actor finds himself standing on the ice in the final and he has improved all the way through the series, will he have enough technique on the night?
There is every chance that the King of the Jungle could find himself winning another celebrity show, and his adoring fans might be the deciding factor.
Libby Clegg at 33/1 to Win Outright
The Paralympian continues to impress every week but the current odds are not showing much hope for her to take the crown on Sunday.
To be able to get up on the ice and perform dances with her visual impairment is a complete inspiration to everyone though, so we’ll all be enjoying her final performance no matter what the result.
